While in the University, he set up a monastery in Sri Lanka and was working with youth and parents as potential groups in bringing about change in people’s life. There he conducted safe-parenting awareness programs for parents and guided youth through music and literature.
Rev. Sumedha, with the blessings of Chief Reverend, arrived in Sentul Temple in October 2009. In the guiding lights of Chief Reverend, he was about take the best turn in his monkhood life. He was offered with a scholarship in HELP University College to pursue his Masters in Counseling Psychology. This event paved the way for him to set up “Embassy of Happiness”, the spiritual counseling unit in Sentul Temple. With the generous guideline from the Chief Reverend, he was able to create a Dhamma space called “Buddhist Cell Groups” where families and friends can gather around and practice the teachings.
