Dhamma Talk by Sayadaw U Silacala

We are fortunate that Sayadaw U Silacala would be visiting us at Sambodhi this Sunday, 23 July 2013 to conduct a Dhamma Talk. We shall have Dana after the talk. Join us at 9:30am this Sunday.

Bhante's Biodata: 
Sayadaw is a Buddhist monk from Myanmar. Bhante was ordained at the age of 20 in Mongaung Temple in Myanmar and has 43 vassa.

Sayadaw learned Insight (Vipassana) meditation from the Mahasi Meditation Cetre in Yangon.

Sayadaw first came to Malaysia at the invitation of Subang Jaya Buddhist Association in the early 90’s. 

Today Sayadaw has a Centre in Kelang town and has a good following of both Malaysian devotees and Myanmar Nationals working in Kelang area.

Selangor Wesak 2013 Celebration

We are pleased to inform that the Selangor State Government with the cooperation of Selangor Buddhist Development Committee and support of the Buddhist groups in Selangor is organizing a State Level Wesak Celebration in conjunction with this year’s Wesak Day.

Date               Sunday, 16^th June 2013

Time               7.00pm-9.45pm

Venue             Auditorium Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam   

                           

This interesting program includes musical and dance performances by Asia Musical Production, Temple of Fine Arts, FGSM.

Please take a light dinner first although refreshments will be provided after the event. Sambodhi shall organise a group to depart from Green Canopy, Setia Eco Park, at 6.15pm. Those whom are interested to join can contact Bro. Cheng at 016 2868261.
