Understanding Vipaka - Fruition of Karma

Karma is action, and Vipaka, fruit or result, is its reaction.

The Samyutta Nikaya states:
"According to the seed that’s sown,
So is the fruit you reap there from,
Doer of good will gather good,
Doer of evil, evil reaps,
Down is the seed and thou shalt taste
The fruit thereof."

Let's listen to Bro Chan Khoon San in the next Dhamma Talk to have a better understanding of Vipaka.

Metta Round the World

Bhante Mahinda has highlighted the need to wake up to the realities of the dramatic changes taking place around us and the various manifestations of suffering in the world. (In fact, Indonesia has just experienced another earth quake with a magnitude of 8.7 just a short while ago.) He has initiated "Metta Round the World" project to unite all peace-loving people throughout the world with one heart and mind in meditation and prayer for world peace, harmony and stability.

We have invited Sister Lim Guat Ching to share with us the details of this meaningful project so that we can participate and be involved in it.
