With the conclusion of the Insight Meditation Course, the usual Friday night meditation group practice session shall resume this Friday, 30th May 2014 . 

8:30pm  Taking of 5 precepts
8:40pm - 9:15pm   Walking meditation
9:15pm - 10:00pm  Sitting meditation
            
Dhamma Talks would continue after the school holidays.

Weekend Insight Meditation Retreat

Sambodhi is holding a Weekend Insight Meditation Retreat. As such, there is no dhamma talk this Sunday. Details of the retreat below:

For devotees who wish to offer lunch dana on Saturday or Sunday, please come before 10:30 am. Fruits are preferred since we have  catered food for lunch.

Speaker’s Profile
Bro. Yu Ban was born into a Buddhist famliy and frequented the Brickfields Mahavihara since young. He has served in the Buddhist Missionary Society Youth Section and was a founder member and EXCO member of the Bandar Utama Buddhist Society. He is a webmaster of several Buddhist websites. He started Dhamma Aid Cambodia in 2006 and Dhamma Aid Asia in 2011 an organisation which now supports Buddhist educational activities in 6 Asian countries. An accountant by profession, he now pursues his personal interests particularly in the study and practice of the Dhamma.

Place : Auditorium Dewan Jubli Perak, Bangunan SSAAS, Shah Alam.

(This year, the Selangor State Government, with the assistance from the Selangor Buddhist Development Council, is organizing a State Level Wesak Celebration. There will also be cultural performances from local as well as foreign countries like Japan, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Light dinner/refreshment will be provided.)

Biography LP Naret

Luang Por Naret (28 Vassa) is the Abbot of Wat Pah Khor Wang (99th branch of Wat Pah Pong). Luang Por practised under the late Venerable Ajahn Chah’s forest tradition. Luang Por is widely respected and recognised role model from Sangha in northern Thailand and his monastery is also one of the Model Monastery there. Every year, Luang Por conducts many retreats, dhamma talks and other charity drives for the society. More than 350 people are ordained under his guidance annually. He was conferred the title "Phrakhru" by Thai King in recognition for his contribution.
