State Level Wesak Celebration 2015

MAJLIS SAMBUTAN HARI WESAK 2015

PERINGKAT NEGERI SELANGOR DARUL ESHAN

The Selangor State Government, with the co-operation of the Selangor Buddhist Development Council and the support of the Buddhist Organisations in Selangor, is holding a State Level Wesak Celebration as follows:

Venue             -           Auditorium Dewan Jubli Perak,

                                    Bangunan SSAAS, Shah Alam.

Date                -           Saturday, 9^th May, 2015

Time                -           6.00p.m to 10.00p.m

International performers from Japan, Korea and Sri Lanka will add to the grandeur of this year’s State Level Wesak Celebration.

Sambodhi is arranging for as many of its members to attend this auspicious celebration.

Food for all the guests attending this Wesak Celebration will be provided between 6.00pm to 6.45pm. at the Venue.

And Sambodhi will arrange car-pooling for those who wish. The pick-up point will be at Sambodhi Buddhist Centre, Setia Alam. Please indicate your intention when you register to attend.

Speaker's profile:
Sis. Yee Yong is currently working as Senior Technical Manager with a private company. She became a Buddhist in Secondary School. As a young Buddhist, she actively read and studied Buddhism. She attended many youth training programs under YBAM during the 1980s.

She regularly gives Dhamma talks in Mandarin and English since 1993 to various Buddhist associations.

She has been trained under BMS, Brickfields-Dhamma Speakers Training Program in 1996.

Former Activities: Mentakab Buddhist Society YS Dhamma Department Head, SJBA YS Chairperson and SJBA Dhamma Department Head.

Present: Dhamma sub-committee member of SJBA.

She graduated with Degree in Bachelor of Science (科学士), Master of Bossiness Administration (商业士), Diploma in Buddhism (BAPU) (佛教文凭) & Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies (IBC) (国际佛教大学佛学业士).

Speaker Profile: Bro. Ananda Fong hails from Kuala Lumpur, and is a Science graduate. He was a student, facilitator and former Deputy Principal of the Buddhist Institute Sunday Dhamma School (BISDS) at the Buddhist Maha Vihara (BMV), Brickfields, KL. He was also a facilitator and former Principal of Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS) Sunday Dhamma School, PJ. and President of BUBS. During his service in BISDS and BUBS, he was the co-organizer and cofacilitator of Dhamma School Teachers Training Programs. He has served as a facilitator/tutor in Dhamma Speakers Training programs, Diploma in Buddhism programs (Buddhist And Pali University (BAPU), Sri Lanka), and Nalanda Institute's Certificate in Buddhist Studies program. He gives Dhamma Sharings regularly at Buddhist organisations in the Klang Valley.
